Welcome to your home away from home!

Jacob and Tillie Weikert and their four children, Henry, Elizabeth Ann, Amanda, and baby John lived here during the Battle of Gettysburg in July 1863.  Little did they know when they built their farmhouse in 1858 that their farm would play such a prominent role in the deadliest battle of the Civil War.

The farmhouse has five cozy bedrooms, (3 queen, 1 double, and 2 twin beds), 1 and 1//2 baths, sleeps 10, living room, dining room, full kitchen, and laundry room.   The living room has a working gas fireplace and cable TV. Window Air Conditioners

The kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and all items needed for cooking and serving meals.

The laundry room includes washer and dryer.  Bed and bath linens are provided.  No daily maid service or roll away beds.

The home is located on twelve pristine acres, which includes a large pond, numerous granite boulders, and a walking trail to the spot where General Joshua Chamberlain's 20th Maine Infantry saved the Union's flank.
