Enjoy a FREE, guided, hour-plus tour of the Dobbin House, the oldest house in Gettysburg and built in the same year that the United States of America was founded - 1776! This popular and highly-rated presentation highlights the house built by the Rev. Alexander Dobbin. His stone home spans three centuries of American history, from the Revolutionary War, through the Civil War, through the Wars of the 20th Century, to today. View all the decorated rooms while interacting with period antiques to understand how the home's occupants lived during the beginnings of America in the 18th and 19th centuries.
